The Party's Over ...

New Year's celebrations are over, Phil's party is over and same with my sista ...

New Year's Day was spent bumming around the house, sewing, cooking, just doing random things I haven't had time to do in a while ...

2nd Jan was Phil's bday (happy b'day dude!) .. He had a party (combined bday + housewarming) at his new pad @ Manly Vale which he shares with our frisbee teammates Nat + Neil ... most of the afternoon was spent playing frisbee (some were playing cricket when we arrived but cos we were late, I didn't get to play with them) .. was good fun, needed the practice :o) We had less ppl on our team, and had the least experience team too but we won :o) Joe was heaps good, and when Lowell and Dave got the hang of things, the combo of Joe + Lowell + Dave was pretty unbeatable (and Lil too was also playing heaps well) .. Only downside was playing in hipster jeans - they kept falling down and yet were also sticking to my legs - ugh :p

I entered Phil's house, even though the condition of entry was that I do one load of his laundry .. pfft, yeah right! As I wrote on his blackboard, I am not washing (let alone touching) his (frilly) pink g-strings!

3rd Jan - Mel Gibson's b'day .. oh yeah, and it was my sista's too :p Woke up with the worst sore neck ever :o/ Serves me right for sleeping in! Went to see the Incredibles with Lauz, got as far as the queue and then decided we couldn't be bothered :p Did a little bit of shopping before heading home - I was in a lot of pain :o/

Went to the Fox Balkan Seafood restaurant @ Fox Studios for her b'day .. It was okay - a bit pricey and we had to pay a 10% surcharge cos of the public holiday .. but we did get a free drink each for our mains ... We went there cos Lauz wanted mussels which she got with her entrees, and as a result barely touched her mains! (though it wasn't v nice .. I have already learnt my lesson never to order risotto marinara cos it's like tomato sauce + rice .. and in this case was also v cheesey) .. I had a seafood marinara but it came with a white cream sauce (I was the only one who read that, so Lauz was disappointed she hadn't ordered that, whilst Carey + Rob didn't like that they had! pfft too hard to please ppl :P) - I actually quite liked it ... everyone else seemed so-so about their food ... I've hard worse, but then again, there are prolly better restaurants out there (and cheaper ... and not in whoop whoop :p)

Yay, 2 day week this week and I've already finished 1 day! I actually had a fair bit to do today, and got quite a lot done .. wasn't overly hectic, but enough to keep me occupied all day :o)

That's all from me for now .. might go and read - i've started the Da Vinci Code .. I like how it's set in Paris, it makes me want to try and learn French again (I always give up after about 2 weeks :p)
