man things have died down heaps! i had a couple of things to do today, and one of them had a small problem but it was out of my hands .. so i just sat around waiting ..

asked my manager for work to do - she told me i could clean up my desk .. that should occupy me for 3 hours or so :p hehe it really is rather messy :p so i'm slowly getting around to doing it - fun fun :p

last week was pretty cool - went to the cricket on wednesday -> we *just* won, was good that it ended up being close :o) the most hated ppl on the cricket field would have to be the security guards sitting on the edges --> when the blow up balls land on the field, they'll get the ball and pop it .. not once, but they'll stab it multiple times and i reckon they get pleasure out of it .. and everyone in the crowd boos ..

sometimes the entertainment from the crowd is much more entertaining than watching the cricket .. watching the blow up balls going everywhere and hoping it doesn't go onto the field, then watching as either the security guard gets it (boo) or a cricketer returns it to the spectators (yay) .. there was also a bit of a brawl happening in one of the stands - some guy fell over i think from it but i missed that - think he was okay though ..

last tues/thurs were spent on training for a testing product .. wasn't the most exciting training, i prolly could have worked out what to do with maybe a little guidance from someone who's done the course/reading thru the manual/guessing .. oh well, it was time off work and free lunch :p we had internet connection with our comps so i spent a lot of time reading the smh/daily telegraph :p On the Tuesday, Carly (industrial student who was sitting next to me) got caught looking at some OC page and my manager behind us told her to concentrate on the course :p on the Thursday though, my manager wasn't there so we were looking at heaps of different sites we shouldnt have .. one which caught our fancy was match.com.au or something like that? hehe we were checking out 18-25 year old boys - some looked so normal yet at the same time weren't .. hmm and for some odd reason, some of the guys think that girls like the guys with their bare chest -> hmm all of these guys should have kept their shirts on ...
hehe there was one dude who was like 60 but it said 25 .. and he was only wearing overalls .. *shudders* :p

friday was another training session - financial markets .. was a grad thing (IT only) .. I got booted to the front desk (though JY should have as he was the last one to arrive), we were called the Three Amigos.Jana .. though it changed to .et al when a latecomer joined our table .. We got to watch a bit of the Bank and the Boiler Room there, it was okay but I didn't have a clue about some of the stuff the guy was talking about - terminology which didn't mean much to me :o/ and I was about to nod off too :o/

Had a xmas party on Friday for our business unit (well the IT section) .. was going to leave the training session early for it (Alan who's in the same business unit did .. the bludger :p) but ended up staying for the whole session and rocking up with 30 mins left .. most ppl had left (no free food left :p) but most of the ppl left there were ppl from my project - so i got to mingle for 30 mins which was long enough for me as i'm too anti-social :p

have another xmas party thursday - looking forward to that :o) and tomorrow we have an end of a Release party - ferry ride to watson's bay and bbq :o) hope the weather isn't too bad!

Friday night, went to Chequers @ C'wood .. my parents are trying to find a decent chinese restaurant .. I wouldn't call this restaurant that decent - atmosphere, service, food - not great .. and i wouldn't recommend going back again - esp seeing as it wasn't all that cheap for what we got! they gave us watermelon which was so dry and sad looking, we just didn't touch it .. and their food was lacking salt or something - just flavour :o/

Tried Fook Yuen last night too and it was soo much better in comparison .. food was nice, service wasn't that bad, atmosphere was good too .. and the menu prices weren't that bad either! they had really yummy, meaty scallops! and their complimentary fruit looked fresh! i was also heaps stuffed afterwards - more than at chequers .. and we had ordered as many dishes as chequers but it was about $30 cheaper or so? pretty good!

Saturday was spent shopping and at Kel's .. man time flew when I was at Kel's .. she lives in a really nice apartment at wollstonecraft - they have 3 pools there (one's an indoor one with a spa - it's part of the gym) .. there's one right outside her apartment and I joined some of the others in there - the water was surprisingly warm .. It took a lot before I finally went into the water (the others had been swimming for a couple of hours) and i joined them for like 15-20 mins .. but that was long enough for me - i dont like swimming heaps but it was rather relaxing and i'm glad the water was warm :o)

they also have tennis courts there but they were locked :o/ but it was such a nice place to be, to walk around - it'd be mad living there! .. we were meant to watch dvd's (we'd had so many debates/discussions about what dvd's we'd be watching beforehand on our forum) yet we didn't watch a single one :p we played some ps2 (hehe alan and xerx were mucking around and jamming themselves in holes - that sounds wrong - where it would take 1000 turns to get out of .. xerx was in a mini and when he retrieved his car, it only had 1-2 wheels left, no steering and couldn't go more than 3km/h :p)

mucho fun though and before we knew it, it was midnight .. this was after stuffing ourselves silly with food - therese made a delicious mousse and kel made a yummy pavlova! hmm so unhealthy but good :p

rocked up to squash y'day only to find that the centre is closed! not sure how long for, but am guessing it's for the xmas break :o/ so i went to greenway park instead (needed to run around) and joined Ruth + co for some soccer .. I missed playing bball with them cos i rocked up late, and we were going to play after our soccer match, but my dad came and picked me up :o/ *sigh* i'm missing bball heaps - i miss playing with the SL crew .. it's been 2 months now!!! but hopefully we can play next week .. i'm glad i've found some nearby courts which have more than 1 ring :o) and ppl nearby willing to play :o)

Bumped into Ian this morning - he said my hair looks flat .. grrr ... i may have to push him over in the mud tonight :p

that's it for me .. have frisbee tonight but it's raining and i dont want to go .. but i have to :o( *sigh* would rather be at home trying to make shortbread and fixing up my dress for thursday night! :o)
