The Rules to Meetings ...

hmm time .. it's like sand through the hour glass ... just slips slips slips away ..

anyhoos, have been really really really busy at work lately .. we have a december release which is being implemented friday and i've had to do testing for it .. it wasn't meant to be a big release, but it involved more stress and more work than the last release!

one of the main problems was finding data for my testing .. it took an extremely long journey to get there, but we found someone who has been my saviour these past 2 weeks! but it took a while before we found him!

hungly and i had a discussion about meetings on monday - meetings should not be held between 1 and 2 or after 4 (4:30 is the limit) ... anything after that, or during the lunch hours is not acceptable .. or anything too early (before 9) is unacceptable as well .. i guess my replacement manager didn't realise this as she set up meetings at lunchtime every day for me and also after work (the past 2 mondays she organised it for 5:30 so i've been uber late to frisbee :o/) .. y'day, i had training and SHOULD have had an early mark at 3 with the others but had to come back to work to do testing --> we ended up having a meeting at 6:30 that night :o/ it was meant to be 7:30 had the training session finished later than 3 :o/

i could write about all the probs i had but it'll just bore you all to tears .. and i could tell you about the french guy who did UAT testing with me on thurs/friday, and called me a "cool dude" - he wants to meet up for drinks too ...... he's married with at least one kid so he's harmless (i think? he's like a santa, really jolly :p) .. just really friendly and likes to chat - i had to talk to him the other day to ask him about his testing and next thing i know, he's asking me about my family, my xmas etc ..

frisbee update - we won the first game (which i was late to cos of meetings) and lost the 2nd .. lost it by a lot (12-1 against a team coming 2nd/3rd last in the comp??) .. they weren't that good a team but they had it together more than we did :o/ hmm oh well, we're still trying to improve ourselves and i know our team has a lot of talent .. i've seen quite a lot of each player's stengths, it's just a matter of using that as a team and working well together - we're still trying to get some of the basics happening .. oh well, with time i guess :o) at least the game was fun!

oh and apparently i had called Ian fat .. I dont remember that, and none of our frisbee teammates remember that either .. I did call him gross, cos of his wrist band which he has been wearing since the beginning of october .. but if i did call him fat, i apologise! you're still gross though Ian! i'm going to cut that thing off you soon :p

anyhoos, about to leave work v shortly - going to the cricket :o) am late .. but should make hopefully 2/3 of the game :o) let's hope the first team batting dont get out too soon so i can stay and watch them bat a little :o)
