A While You Were Sleeping Christmas ...

hmm kinda having a bad day today and dont really feel like blogging - am i getting over blogging? quite possibly .. like a fad which kinda dies after a while --> like xmas pressies .. I received some cool ps2 games but will I get the money's worth with them? when will I get tired of playing them? has that already happened?

Last Wednesday, I went to the Twenty20 match at Hurstville (whoop whoop) with Xerx + his workmate .. was a good game - though we couldn't work out which team was which (they were wearing the same shirts, except 1 team had the player names on the back whilst the others was bare) and we couldn't see the scoreboard so we weren't even sure when the game was over as the last wicket fell (only worked it out when ppl ran onto the field :p) .. was more interesting than an odi and test match though - was over in less than 3 hours and more exciting too ..

Then I went and had authentic Indian food with the boys - man .. it was hot .. Xerx' workmate is an Aussie guy who seems to be completely immune to hot food - Xerx was sweating whilst this guy chowed down the chillis .. I barely survived and ate mostly naan and rice with a little bit of sauce .. I wasn't feeling that great the 2 days afterwards either!

Christmas came and went and I'm disappointed that the long weekend is over .. Though we do have another 3 day weekend coming up, and then I go on a 5 day holiday the following weekend - so i'm looking forward to that too! :o)

For xmas, Carey + Rob came over in the morning and we opened pressies .. I got heaps of cool stuff - Singstar 1 and 2 (my voice is pretty much gone from screaming into the mike), sega superstars eye toy game (that's carp .. waste of money - my other sista got the play2 one which ended up being sooo much better .. so i bought a copy in the after xmas sales :p though how much use i'll get out of these beats me) ... I also got hit & run from Carey - which I happened to also buy for her too! hmm ... Clothes, jewellery (Rob gave me these cool earrings), chocolate (yum!), earrings, some basketball thing for my garbage bin and Delta piano music (i suck at playing the piano :p) .. pretty cool stuff :o)

It was a v While You Were Sleeping Christmas though .. On Xmas Eve, I stumbled across JB Hi Fi in the city and decided to have a look for some cd's for my sista (she wants them for her bday) .. I came across the While You Were Sleeping soundtrack cd cos I was looking in the wrong area and bought it for my mum - i've been looking for that cd for years now! my mum's been looking too but no one has had it! I was a bit worried it wasn't what she had wanted as it only had the scores from the movie but mum was stoked! She loves it and we were listening to it on the weekend trying to pick the scenes each song came from! :o)

And from Alan, I received the "world" - a globe with a light in it .. that's from the movie too! (except alan had no idea at the time :p) .. I've always wanted a globe and the fact that it lights up is cool - my mum loves it too esp cos of it's While You Were Sleeping connections :p

Went to my grandparents place for xmas dinner and some of my cousins were there ... hehe my family and I spent it watching the Bill, cos Lauren wanted to perve on Daniel McPherson .. we were both disappointed in his choice of gf - we think he could do better ;o)

Boxing day, parents cooked up a feast .. I spent most of the day helping prepare .. was yummy (though I stuffed up the pavlova with light whipped cream which melted and fell off the pav :p) .. so stuffed from it! Played a lot of eye toy and singstar too :o)

Following day, I hit the shops with my family - bumped into both Bernard + Ian.. bought some shoes, calendar, wallet, a top, a bag .. not heaps of stuff but got a few good things .. still on the lookout for another pair of sneakers though ...

Y'day, I went to Chatswood with Lauz and we saw Ella Enchanted .. loved it! It was like EVer After but funnier and younger - kinda like a mixture of Ever After and Shrek, except the ogre isnt the main character :p ... and the Prince (played by Hugh Dancy) was a cutie in it - he reminds me of a younger chris o'donnell, even though I never really liked him ... though Anne Hathaway was too American in it whilst everyone was British .. hmm ... It was better than a Cinderella Story though (and Dancy is 100000 times better than Chad Michael Murray)

Am back at work but not really motivated to do work .. with 2.5-3 day week and no one around at work, tis a bit hard to motivate oneself .. might leave work a little bit earlier today and go shopping :o)
