Happy Birthday Ian!

haven't posted in a while but dont really feel like writing that long a post atm (yet chances are this will end up being one :p)

happy bday Ian :o) I bumped into him twice in one day y'day - at wynyard in the morning, and then on the train home .. im not doing much at work atm, and so my manager told me to do some excel training course (cbt training) --> problem is, cd wont work .. so i still had nothing to do .. so i left the earliest i have left since starting this role and happened to bump into ian who always leaves work early :p

friday
had drinks at jacksons with Matt, Betty, Ann, JJ and Nick .. apparently the wpac group (only about 5 of them) were upstairs on level 2 ... I never found them and had to leave for my train before I could look for them, so i just hung out with the mac bank crew .. good to catch up :o)

saturday
went to Grace's house Sat night .. her place is lovely @ Cabarita .. watched Raw and learnt how to play briscola .. I had learnt how to play briscola at first year uni's orientation camp (seems so long ago! John apparently saw tib, julia, baz and myself playing in their room and thought we were weird .. yet now he plays all the time :p) .. but i'd forgotten how to play .. was good, alan + i partnered up with Baz (alan was also learning) .. and we won! well we lost half a game (cos every game has 2 games to it or something? so we won both in one, and one one in the second if that makese sense? :p) .. I liked partnering with Baz, he's v helpful at expaining things :p

sunday
went to kuringai national park .. got sunburnt (i think? or it was an allergic reaction to my sunscreen .. or a mixture of allergies and sunburn) and mother india for dinner .. yum, except they had this w4nky magician doing magic tricks that night .. he only works sundays there, but it seems stupid as there were only 4 tables of ppl in the place! v empty on a sunday .. i prefer my indian singer who sings abba and michael jackson! was disappointed he wasn't there that night! :o(

did some karaoke at alan's place too .. his machine's cool, think it's the same machine as at the port orient, where we had my sista's hen's nite .. i got 64 at one stage -> potential to be a great singer! haha! alan's mum kept getting 0 (think her highest was 5?) .. but we worked out how to get a high score --> alan and i sang "aaaaaaahhhhhhhh" throughout one song, and we got 96 -> superstar! it doesn't take into consideration pitch, only volume and note length .. singstar is meant to be better - i've asked for it for xmas :o) hehe then we'll see me fail :p i'm such a bad singer :p

monday
i rolled my ankle badly at frisbee in the first 15 mins .. stupid cricket pitch across the field! i was looking up cos i was chasing after an airborne disc in the endzone and didn't see the cricket pitch end .. and so my foot went down unexpectedly and rolled .. went flying, knees badly bruised, ankle more sore than normal (didn't bounce back :o/) .. sat off for most of the match, but got stubborn and came on for the last 15-20 mins .. didn't run much but scored! wewt! disc went high in the air and i jumped up and surprisingly caught it .. just in the nick of time i brought it down, cos Lee came flying across the endzone and tried to d it :p he just missed it (though i wonder how much he really tried and if he could have made it?) everyone laughed at him cos he got beaten by a short, injured girl :p hehe

tuesday
went shopping at dj's and myers cos they had specials on that night (one night only) .. still stuff i wanted to buy but ran out of time but got a whole heap - wish i could have gone to the city shops as well, a bit more variety .. i might go tonight, have to get all these xmas pressies and also a bday pressie for Lauz ... have part of their pressies and have *some* idea of what i'm getting but am not really sure - i hate xmas shopping, so stressful! so i'm trying to get it out of the way asap cos i know it takes forever to find what i'm after .. and getting parking and waiting in queues at the shops is such a pain and i'd rather avoid it if possible! :o/ .. i did buy Lauz an early pressie on the weekend - a small xmas tree for her place :o) mum told me to leave it empty though so she can have fun decorating it .. i hope she does decorate it! :o)

was bad shopping though 3 hours on my feet not good for rolled ankle .. it was all swollen, but i think it's cos i'd bandaged it too tight cos it was looking like that in the arvo at work :o/

wednesday
did some boxing with bernard because it was upperbody and didn't cause too much stress on my ankle ... stupid pushups part though was hard, had to do proper ones cos the girly ones woulda hurt my already bruised knees! grr :p missed my fitness test for work (part of a promotion with our project) cos i didnt think my ankle could take running on a treadmill .. it gives me more time to practice :p

thursday
so annoyed with customer service .. bread shop lady keeps using her hands to get me my bread (i like the bread there and it's cheap .. it's just bad though that she keeps using her hands! she's a cow, i dont like her :o/ ) .. and spent all morning on the phone to support about this stupid cbt training ..

am off now .. my weekly rant is now over :p
