Photo Journey

yes .. it has been a while since I was last here .. I just haven't had the time .. since getting my wisdoms out, ever since i went back to work, I haven't had 10 mins just to sit down and blog away ...

though i haven't been the most happiest person lately so it's prolly best i haven't blogged ...

hmm a picture speaks 1000 words, so instead, i shall try to include photo links if possible of the past few weeks ..

Work

It kinda sucks ... There's still a lot to learn .. and I do miss Lish heaps :o( Why did she have to leave me?? Phil's now gone too and I've taken over his "project" - working on fixing up reporting (graphs) which goes out to managers .. it's not too bad, though i'm not looking forward to the implementing bit (have to do that this month) - argh fixing someone else's code which i have heard isn't that easy to read :o/ but it means i'm off the fones, which i think is a good thing? i'm getting better at answering calls, though it's only cos i've discovered the "on hold" button :p i think i leave some "users" on hold for too long though :p

Frisbee
Gawd I played awfully y'day .. I picked up with Xerx' team and they got thumped :p i just couldn't catch/throw .. My other 2 games weren't much better, though I think i did score the odd point .. I blame myself for losing one of our games, but I think we still have a chance of making it to the finals next week? oh well, it's more about the fun (though when you're playing sub-standard, how much fun can u have?) ..

We won the past 2 weeks though (so that's 4 games) ... our uniform isn't that great - bright orange t-shirts which are massive! I was away the first week of the comp so i got a size medium for men - it's a dress on me .. a bright orange moo moo really :p

Other Sports
Played bball with Richard + Betty's team y'day .. cos I had no idea what I was doing, I only went on for 5 mins and watched from the bench for the rest of it (well for what I was there for - I came late :o/) ... It's fun, though i've never played full court before ... and had no idea about the rules .. I kinda threw the ball away waay too quickly - need to be more patient!

Birthdays
Finally - the end of the birthdays for a while .. well hopefully!
John + Ryan's, Basil's and Mamo's ... eating out at various restaurants/Baz's place ... but alas it's over (happy birthday all though!) .. oh and it was also Mr Lam's birthday too :o) he sits behind me at work atm, he knows when I am bludging :p

May = Carl's (Happy Birthday for Sunday!) .. I love Carl's mum's cooking :o) and his foozball table .. and his wonky bball pole .. oh yes .. and I guess Carl too ;o) hope you had a good day dude!

Birthdays are over for a while but now come the engagement parties ... I have Grace + Mamo's, then Louisa + Lee's coming up - really looking forward to them .. should be exciting (a bit like 21sts but better as you're celebrating 2 ppl's commitment - it's not something that just happens every year) ... :o)

Other Shindigs
Was sad to see Lish go :o( I miss having her to bug at work, she'd at least help me and ensure I got stuff done when I didn't have a clue :o/ I hope she's well os! Photos from her bye bye party are here

I also went to Bella Vista Farm recently with Viv/Eugene/Alan - Photos are here ... Prolly not everyone's cuppa tea, but it was a nice day out (despite all the sun! seriously got heaps drained!!!) ... It was open to the public for the first time and we got a tour of the farmhouse there which they're trying to fix up atm ... it's taking a while, but it'll be worth it I think :o)

Also went to dinner at the Blue Elephant @ Crows Nest with Viv/Eugene/Alan on Saturday night .. It was interesting - though my tummy was feeling strange afterwards :p Prolly wasn't a good mix with the gelato afterwards (but it was yummo! Apple Pie flavour at Bravo :o) ... It was an interesting night - we got string hoppers (noodles) which Alan/Eug/Viv tried eating with their fingers (they mixed it up with the curry and had to flick it into their mouth) .. that's how you're meant to eat it, but I dont think it's necessarily the most practical or the neatest way either :p Quite amusing to watch :p .. The restaurant was quite expensive though ($11 for 8 string hoppers, which is just a plate of plain noodles!) but at least we can now say we've tried it! :o)

Had dinner with some grads on Friday .. bye bye to Kaushik (who didn't even come to dinner with us .. but he was at drinks at least) ... it was fun, kinda miss hanging out with some of the grads cos we don't do it much anymore .. apparently the 2005 grads are all bonding v well and organise weekly events (hehe Hung's the only 2004 grad still invited :p) ... The grad co-ordinator was even telling us how eager they are to do some preso for the CIOs in a couple of weeks time (our year has to do it too but no one has really done much .. we couldn't even organise our groups properly :p) .. hehe i wonder when the 2005 grads will lose their eagerness, if at all? how long did it take our year? :p

And that's it from me :o) Early start again .. I like starting early, except for the going to bed early bit (though this isn't that early atm :p) .. Night all!

P.S. @Mamo - I only got around to reading your comments now :o) Yes the strong friendships have survived and it is good to see :o) I'm glad you have your job at Accenture, even though u have been situated in a place you don't want to be for your first project .. but the time will fly and we'll all still be here waiting for you to return :o) Plus, there's always the weekends :p
