Goodbye Wisdom ...

I wrote the below post earlier, but i was having problems posting it .. it might have something to do with my new template, am not entirely sure, so i have reverted back to the old one and will test new template again later ...

I haven't blogged in a while, but I have been working on my template since then ... i haven't touched it in a bit cos i've been a bit too busy, but now i'm just trying to get some of the kinks out - so consider it a WIP (work in progress) :p hehe though when i'll fix the kinks, that's another matter ..

I'm currently at home and a bit bored .. I got all 4 wisdom teeth out on Wednesday .. I've never had surgery before so i was rather scared .. the anaesthestist came around before the operation and gave me an injection - it must have been the anaesthetic, cos the next thing i remember is waking up after the surgery was over! .. I was surprised i didn't start feeling drowsy and just knock out, but just knocked out pretty much instantly .. and i was als disappointed i didn't get the "you'll start to feel drowsy now .. i'm going to count backwards from 10 .. 10, 9" or however it goes, like in the movies! :p

It hurts a bit to swallow and now that the anaesthetic has worn off, my teeth do feel weird .. i can't open my mouth properly so i dont really know what it looks like back where my teeth were :p Eating has been quite difficult, and finding non-sugary food to eat is hard .. they made me eat ice cream and jelly + custard at the hospital before letting me go even though i wasn't hungry .. it's a good excuse to eat all that food, but it's not really what my stomach wants :o( hehe i was craving maccas on the day of the surgery when i saw a maccas sign :p

I think Lauz had it worse when she had her teeth out as it kept bleeding and she was in heaps of pain .. mine only started bleeding a bit this morning but it hasn't been that bad .. face is more swollen though (but it takes 3 days to swell up properly, then 3 to go down according to the nurse) and it hurts a bit - but it's not overly excruciating pain ... when i came out of the operation, my eyes were all blurry and i was a bit dazed .. i was also shivering all over (from the anaesthetic) and found myself unable to stop crying :o/ but then all of that just subsided and was glad when i was back in my room and my mum was there .. hmm :o/

I was also feeling heaps nauseous y'day and ended up being sick so it hasn't been entirely pleasant ... but i've been resting heaps and watching heaps of tv and so that's helped a bit ...

the only good thing is that at least it's time off work :p and means i can't go shopping and spend more money! i've spent sooo much money lately on clothes, it's quite bad .. they haven't been to expensive the clothes i've bought, but cos i've bought heaps, it all adds up :p I went shopping with Carly from work, and I let her choose which shops to go to - it turns out she likes the same shops i do which was not good for my wallet! :p Whilst with her, i bought a pair of black pants (they were on special :p) and a pair of jeans (only $20! :p) .. i dont really shop with others much (except my sista/mum) so it was fun :o) .. i also bought 2 jumpers and a pair of jeans (they were all less than $20) last week too, so i did score a few bargains ;p

Work's been okay though .. i'm so glad lish is back! but she leaves on Friday, so i only have like 3 days left of work with her :o/ and Andrew leaves too, so bye bye to another grad with experience .. hehe in fact, i'll be the most experienced grad in my area with those 2 gone - that doesn't say much :p Mr Lam joined us on Friday, and Alan joins us on Monday (but i won't be there when he comes), except he'll be working in Phildo's area ...

My workmate gave me all these dvd's to watch for whilst i'm sick which is good - i already watched the Stepford Wives, which wans't quite as bad as i thought it would be .. i'm kinda bored atm so it gives me something to do - y'day i was just so tired so i slept thru most of it .. but today i feel quite wide awake .. hmm kinda feel a bit useless ..

hmm this is kinda sad but i kinda like mariah carey's latest song .. actually i dont really like it (though it's not so annoying as other songs) but i like the film clip .. actually, i dont like the film clip at all, cos i hate the way she dances, what she's wearing and the facial expressions she makes (i wish she'd tie her hair back!) .. but the guy at the end - Wentworth Miller - is cute! he's from dinotopia (another dvd i'm going to try to watch whilst i'm at home :p) ... and mr lam thinks wentworth is hot too (okay, he might not have said that .. but he's thinking it :p)

Last Friday, I went out to dinner with the Mac Bank crew .. was good! haven't seen some of them in ages - there were 12 of us there and we went to Chinta Ria, Cockle Bay .. the food was nice, but too much msg - i was soo thirsty afterwards! and they need to have more lighting - maybe it's part of the atmosphere, but i would like to see what i am eating :p and the smell of the incense was pretty gross .. but it was still fun ;o) Photos can be found here.

I watched the Ring on saturday .. it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and I didn't have nightmares or anything .. but i hate those kinda movies ... suspense films where you're scared of what will happen more than what does happen .. hmm

i've been trying to organise our div3 frisbee team again .. we have 8 ppl currently registered, and i'm the only girl! I know Amanda said she's definitely in, and Rob's interested too, so should they sign up, we'll meet our 10 ppl minimum requirements .. HOWEVER, we're having a girl shortage ... Kristine's prolly going to Canberra for work, i dont think Louisa's too keen to play again, and Belinda is pregnant (which is really good neWs for her + Steve .. but i guess bad news for our team as the team will really miss having her around!) ..

Oh yes - this is belated but I hope everyone had a v hapy easter :p i haven't had a 5 day working week in a while :p Hope the easter bunny paid a visit to everyone :o) (i'm soo craving eating an easter egg now, it's so annoying!)

Anyhoos, this post is long enough :p Will hopefully post again later - though being at home all day long means i dont have much to write about :P
