hip Hip Hooray!

Happy Birthday to Grace today :o) and also Tib for last Saturday (forgot to mention it!) :o) .. was also my mum's birthday on Friday too - this is a popular month for birthdays :o)

Went to Sea Treasure Restaurant at Crows Nest with family .. was an okay restaurant, decor not brilliant but the food was quite nice - we had lobster and peking duck, so by the time the mains came, we were full! took most of it home :p I liked most of the food - there was one really nice eggplant hot pot dish .. hadn't ever had that before but it had soo much flavour! :o) .. but it wasn't the food that my sistas + mum enjoyed the most .. it was the toilets! haha i need to go to Japan :p The toilet seats had a plastic cover on it, and a hand sensor to get it to rotate around so a new sheet of plastic covers the seat (the hand sensor wasnt' sensitive enough - you ended up having to touch it to work :p hehe the surprise by my sista when it started spinning on her :p we had a cool seat like that in europe, where the seat itself actually rotated around somehow :p) .. the soap and paper towel dispensers also had hand sensors which was cool .. the only disappointment was the fact that the sink didn't have a sensor (yet this is more common in Aus than the soap/toilet/paper towel dispensers being hands free!) - though i think it's cos the other 3 gadgets were prolly all bought from the same company and the sink would have to be done by someone else :p

Dinner was spent at PJ Gallagher's Drummoyne .. um, wasn't v impressed with the food/service there --> food took over an hour to come out and when it did come out, a lot of it was overcooked! it was also really expensive food too, considering the poor quality! I ordered a salad (entree size) and plain bread - they didn't have any plain bread, despite having garlic bread and bruschetta .. the salad wasn't that cheap and it consisted of a few slices of beef, a couple of dead looking pieces of mint, 2 slices of cucumber cut in half and 2 slices of tomato - this was all on a bed of crispy noodles (the styrofoam looking stuff) .. i expected more leafy vegs being a salad, so i guess that's why i was quite disappointed ... i had to wait a while before i could eat it as ppl's mains took forever to come out .. A few ppl ordered steak and all were overdone - one sent theirs back only to have to wait forever for it to come out (but at least it wasn't leathery!) ... the staff apologised saying it was cos it had been sitting on the heat shelf thingy (not sure what the name is) so it had dried out then - my thoughts were that the food should have come out earlier then! .. some had mashed potatoes with their dish, which was like salty cement - so dry and hard it was almost inedible! hmm i dont think i'll be going back there again!

I took my first 2 official fone calls for this Service Desk today - a workmate wanted to go to lunch and I was answering their calls even though i'm not meant to be working in that area .. omg it was bad! hehe I really hate being on the fone! First time, it took me a while to answer it as I was fumbling for the head piece and which button to press... After getting the customer's details and info about the issue (that took forever as the system was sooo slow!), I pressed save and my lotus notes crashed! argh! So I lost everything! Thankfully the person who foned was quite nice and didn't seem to mind that it was taking a while to enter her details and get her a reference number ... Second fone call wasn't quite as bad except I didn't realise that I hadn't put her on hold when I thought I had :p It didn't matter so much, but it would have been better if she couldn't hear everything I had to ask my workmate .. but i'm slowly learning!

*sigh* not much else to report .. think i'm coming down with something, haven't been feeling the best lately :o( think something's going around cos it seems quite a few ppl around me aren't that well either!
