We've Made It This Far :o)

YAY! We're through to the finals again for frisbee :o) That's the 3rd season in a row .. except we're in a higher division this season and it wasn't expected at all that we'd reach this far! We're playing a team which is undefeated (i've played with some of those guys before and they take their frisbee serious!) so we're definitely the underdogs .. but win or lose, i'm just so proud of my team and how much they have improved! :o)

We won the semi finals 13-5 or something like that .. we were down 3-0 at the start too and weren't a full team (injuries and absentees) Amanda and I weren't all that confident about winning (esp after our start) but we improved and got our act together and won :o) I think having Lee and Phil on the team helps too as they're really good at giving instructions and i think our team sort of needs that .. cos without that guidance, we kinda just do whatever with no structure or strategy and that doesn't win us any points ..

The other team got annoyed with us though .. As opposed to one of our players getting agro and stuff at the other team, he was being friendly - maybe too friendly .. and they pretty much told him to f off! But, it was after a foul call Lee made against them that they hated .. they disagreed, which they have every right to, but got really angry cos they honestly believed it wasn't a foul and they were not happy that we had called a foul when we were up by 7 points ... They then kept making smart ass comments from the sideline like "that was a hand block, sure u dont want to call a foul!" .. it was to the point that dear dear Louisa snapped! hahahaha she went off at them and told them that Lee (her fiance) plays div1 (and at national level) and knows what a foul is .. and they went off at her too :p they said they'd give us negative spirit points but i dont think we give spirit points during the finals :p oh well, can't do anything about it, because even before the game they seemed to be really serious and unfriendly towards us .. though the last time we did play them we had a few clashes :o/

Friday night I had dinner at Blue Fish @ Darling Harbour with Alan .. it was quite nice, service wasn't too bad either :o) though i prolly woudln't go back without my ent book voucher :p I've decided that I dont like ice cream as much as gelato .. gelato isnt as creamy and with gelato flavours, it usually tastes like the flavour it's meant to (like rocher) .. i find with ice cream, it all just tastes like cream which isn't as nice ...

Alan and Peter also cooked up rendang on Saturday night - was from a packet and apparently quite awful, but the boys added some more flavouring and stuff and it ended up really nice - though really fatty! They got some roti pastry and made pies with it + the rendang! hahaha so fattening but actually quite nice :o) though i couldn't tell the difference between puff pastry and roti, yet apparently there is one (according to alan :p) ...

Man I hate driving .. drove a lot on the weekend - went to JY's house at Willhoughby to practice our preso .. that was actually really fun :o) Though I did get stuck doing all the ms office stuff - those boys are too incompetent ;o) i've become their EA all of a sudden .. hmm

Was out shopping with mum on the weekend and when we were driving home, we were turning right from the left hand lane .. a car was also turning but from the lane to the right of us and as we're turning, he changed lanes in front of us - we almost crashed into him .. v dangerous! mum honked and the passenger stuck up his rude finger at us! talk about jerks, it's drivers like that that raise the insurance premiums!

Matty started work in my team on Tuesday and i'm his primary mentor :p hehe I own him! hehe not really, he reckons as mentor, he gets to bug me with lots of questions .. bah! hehe it's good that it's him joining and not someone else, cos he doesn't care if i check my email (Seeing as he's on 2 of my email lists :p) or whatever :p

Anyhoos, gotta go before he comes over and starts bugging me again ;o)
