Hens and Swans - What Beautiful Birds ..

Yay! The Swans won :o)
It was a great game to go to - even though I was feeling absolutely exhausted, the atmosphere was electrifying .. 98% of the stadium were supporting the swans, which was awesome!

Was a pretty hectic weekend ... Had Louisa's hens night on Saturday ... We started off at Docks Hotel and had dinner there, before heading off to Cargo Bar .. had a couple of hours to kill before our Cruise, so we just stood around drinking and completing the rest of Louisa's tasks .. Her netball team gave her a series of 10 tasks to complete over the night:
  • Task 1 - Ask for a business card from a man's wallet

  • Task 2 - Ask for a c0nd0m from a man's wallet

  • Task 3 - Ask a man to dance

  • Task 4 - Ask a man for money to use the c0nd0m machine

  • Task 5 - Get a kiss from a dark man

  • Task 6 - Ask the barman what a slippery n1pple is

  • Task 7 - Do a pole dance

  • Task 8 - Get the bridal party (including mother of the bride) to do the Macarena

  • Task 9 - Blow up a c0nd0m

  • Task 10 - Get an 0rgasm

Task 1 was easy .. Task 2 was troublesome - we were walking along the pedestrian bridge from Darling Harbour to King St Wharf and there weren't many guys without girls around .. those we asked said they didn't have any protection!! Eventually we came across a guy, who pointed to his mate on the phone .. and the mate had! wewt! hehe later on, we passed a bunch of young guys and Louisa was like "where were they when I needed them?" .. haha that got their attention :p

At Cargo Bar (whilst waiting for our cruise), a kinda-cute bloke came up to Louisa and was like "you're too young to be getting married" and she's like "how old do u think I am?" and he said "22" .. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to complete task 3 so told him he should dance with her but he said maybe later .. So Louisa then told him about task 4, and he kindly gave her $5!! score!! The guy walked off with his mates, and so Louisa had to dance with some other guy (I think he was on his bucks night) :p As we were leaving, the kinda-cute bloke was like "are you ready to dance now?" and Louisa's like "sorry, too late" .. awww! :p

We had some problems when we at Cargo Bar - Louisa was wearing a veil, and I was wearing one too (which was shared amongst the bridal party) and we were told by security we weren't allowed to wear it!! Apparently they can't tell if we're intoxicated as we *may* cover our faces with the veil .. yet ppl were allowed to wear pirate hats and wigs within the venue? go figure!

For Task 5, Louisa asked one of the guys on the cruise for a kiss but he pointed him in the direction of his single friend .. I missed getting a foto of the kiss, but apparently the guy was rather reluctant to even give her one - he seemed scared :p haha For the slipper n1pple task, the barman actually gave Louisa the wrong ingredients - he told her what's in a cowby instead :p silly barman! The waiter knew more than the barman!! Louisa's pole dancing effort was rather short, but at least she attempted it - one of her netball friends kept dancing with the pole, and another guy who was watching decided to copy and really got into it :p there were some weirdos on the cruise :p The macarena was fun, haha i'd forgotten what to do at the start --> it's been a while :p Louisa got her last 2 tasks as we were back on land .. we tried to go into Cargo Bar again, so she could get her 0rgasm (drink :p) and sit and blow up her c0ndom, but we couldn't get in .. so Louisa completed task 9 outside, and er I guess went home for task 10? ;o) hehe

It was a pretty tame night though, it could have been a lot worse for a hens night .. at least there weren't any dodgy str1ppers, though one of my bodyguards did volunteer to be our str1pper (he was willing to pay us :p hehe) .. I was actually really tired, so glad to go home and sleep in the end :o)

I managed to make it to the gym in the morning with my sista .. spent a while at the shops buying groceries for Sunday's dinner (took forever to find all the ingredients!!!) - I was going to make a lentil curry (my workmate, from India, gave me the recipe), chicken tandoori, and a steam syrup cake for dessert ... The lentils took longer to soften than I had originally thought!!! I ended up boiling it on a super high heat, which kinda ruined them (some went really mushy, whilst others remained all hard) ... the dish turned out okay in the end, though during the cooking process I thought that it had no flavour .. that's where the garam masala came in (took a while to find at woollies --> ended up finding it at coles .. they were all out in the asian section but managed to have some in the spice section thank goodness), which gave it a really nice flavour in the end ... the chicken tandoori was a little bit spicy so had to add a lot of yoghurt to it to tone it down a bit :p Dad put the leftover curry in the fridge and ended up dropping it on the floor :o/ *sigh* in that same spot, my sista had earlier dropped her smoothie (red strawberry stuff ended up on our fridge, floor, dishwasher and drawers!) and mum dropped a tub of gelato (it broke the container :o/) .. it was a bit of a disaster in the kitchen :p

The cake recipe I was using was old, but I kinda stuffed up .. I was following it directly, but mum's interpretations of things are different to mine? like, her 1 cup isn't a standard measuring cup, but rather a mug .. so she's tweaked it and knows what to do, but it isn't clearly written in her recipe .. oh well, guess practice makes perfect! It's okay with butter, and it looks okay, just a bit too dry :o/ hmm

Was listening to a live version of John Mayer's 83 this morning .. it was awesome! I've heard it before but didn't realise that at the end he mixed in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (not a fan of that song) and Let's Hear It For the Boy :o) Great listening!

The lam(b) is back in town atm! wewt! I've held this secret for 2 weeks now, and have been trying to organise a catch up with Matty + Hung + JY, but at least one of them always pikes :o/ at least they now know the reason why I was so keen to meet up! They all had drinks on Friday and the surprise was revealed, though it ended up not being that big a surprise :p Hung was informed on Friday morning, because Syl and I were having trouble convincing everyone to come out for drinks Fri night!! Once Hung was in on the secret, he managed to help convince ppl to come out - I guess his persuasive powers are better than Syl's + mine :p hehe

hmm am taking it easy today exercise-wise .. was going to jim it this morning but felt exhausted this morning and wasn't sure if I should be pushing my knee again .. will probably have a throw with Simon and Amanda after work (haven't touched a disc in aaages) before heading off to yoga :o)

And that's it from me ... until next time!
Andi
