Was All a Fluke ...
Well I played some more bball today with Matt, JY, Hung, Mitch and Johnson again .. and boy did I suck!
The way they allocate teams is by shooting hoops, and the ppl who score first (well the first 3 ppl in our case) end up going on one team, and those who didn't score are on the other ... I ended up scoring first, so I think everyone was deliberately trying not to get the ball in after that ;o)
I ended up with Johnson and Matt who are good players .. but JY was seriously heaps good (as scrawny as he is :p) and slaughtered us .. though he had good backup by Hung and Mitch who both played an awesome game today ... We seriously barely scored any in comparison :p And Hung definitely improved heaps from last week - so the boys couldn't give him a hard time this week when he was up marking me :p I was hopeless compared to him :p
I scored about 3 .. I told my workmate and he's like "that's good, that's about your average :p" --> pfft, how mean! The ball goes towards the hoop, but it generally is too far left, too far right or too far to the back .. hmm :o/ Never quite in the hoop :o(
I got a small bruise on my elbow (same arm as last time) cos I think it banged someone's head ... and I got a shoulder in my chest and throat .. and also had JY's lovely, scrawn butt in my face too at one stage :p Delightful :p Plus, he stood on my toe :p .. But, I almost injured his thumb when I checked the ball and threw it back to him too hard :o/
hmm have to be less aggro on the court .. I think I'm trying too hard to be blokey, when really, i'm not a bloke (thank goodness .. though peeing standing up and being able to go anywhere would be pretty cool) .. Oh, and I also learnt that you can't double dribble! I accidentally did that twice today - i got away with it once, but not the 2nd time :p
hmm can't wait to play again though .. i just want to improve, practice makes perfect :o) I hope we can all still play in the city - it's so easy to gym it and/or play sports at lunchtime here at St Leonards ...
