Won Ton Week
That's how my workmate described my week .. I had 3 invitations to lunch y'day --> Josh asked me if I wanted to go grab a Boost Juice from Chatswood; JY was grabbing lunch with the fellow SL grads i think?; and a few workmates were going to exercise - their stomaches that is :p When I declined lunching with my workmates, as I'd already brought in my won ton meal, my workmate said it's been a won ton week for me :D
Gym - No Eye Candy
I ended up gymming it y'day at lunch after declining all lunch offers.. was a good body combat class - we had the lady who normally takes my body pump class instruct us .. She's quite scary looking cos she's really tall and toned - like an amazon :P But she's nice :o)
I gymmed it this morning too, though i really could have done with a sleep in .. I saw on the timetable on the wall that Amanda was taking Body Burn again, and I wondered if she'd lied about Peter coming back this week ... Well, there was no Amanda instructing us today .. but nor was there Peter! *sigh* I do miss my eye candy :p However, we had another instructor (Liz) take us and she's actually quite good! She didn't forget her moves so much, and I worked up such a sweat! And, she did strength work at the end, which I have missed doing, as painful as it is .. She made us do this squatting exercise, which started to burn my thighs a little (it went on for aages and aaages), but it actually was hurting my arches more than anything .. stupid feet :o/ Despite paying $350 for orthotics, i'm still suffering pain in my feet again :o( .. Anyways, Liz (whilst not really eye candy for me), said that Peter will be back in a couple of weeks - he's busy renovating his place .. Ah, well at least I know he hasn't quit and isn't sick or something! Though i don't mind the class if Liz continues to take us either (only problem is the eye candy bit :p)
I'm Old
Either Kaushik or JY (I think it was Kaushik) said that I sound like I'm old ... not voice-wise (hmmm one of the users keeps joking that i sound like a little kid and keeps calling me kiddo - ugh! I don't think I'll ever sound old!), but more action-wise .. I told them that i wanted to stay home y'day and sew and then sleep :p Which is exactly what I did!
I sewed up my John Mayer shirt, which was a guy's small size .. but waaay too massive for me .. It cost a lot of money, and I'd been trying to alter it but it just looked mongy, and so has been lying around the house in pieces .. so I finally decided that i'd sew it up last night and didn't care how bad the sew job looked .. hopefully my new machine would make it look sorta decent .. It's okay looking now, not great, but passable ...
I also started working on a singlet top I'm trying to sew .. there's some more material i found at Spotlight which I hope to try making a singlet top from .. and also make up my own dress pattern with! Ah, that will be quite disastrous, but worth a try .. i'll proably work on that first singlet top this arvo/tonight though :o) Bit too cold to be wearing singlet tops now though, unless it's under my 10 000 layers of clothing :p
Whilst sewing away, I watched a lot of TV .. Friday Night tv isn't that bad .. well, if you're a chick ... Cos on Channel 7, they have the Girl Power thing happening, with Auction Squad, followed by Miss Match and then Tru Calling .. I didn't watch Auction Squad but watched the other 2 shows ..
Watching Miss Match is like watching the Clueless movie spread out each week as a tv show .. but not like the actually Clueless tv show (which has Rachel Blanchard in it or whatever her name is), but Alicia Silverstone playing Cher .. She acts exactly the same way! She tries to match make people, and doesn't realise that she's in love with the guy who's right in front of her (and he in love with him) ... Ah, too similar, she needs to try something different if she wants people to consider her a proper actress I think .. Unless maybe she can't act, and that's all she can do .. Silverstone is also the voice in some cartoon - Braceface - and she sounds the same in that too .. except she's playing a 13 year old kid or something :p
Then I watched Tru Calling .. I thought the show was really dumb the first time i watched it, and I still don't think it's brilliant, but it's okay to watch when nothing else is on .. It's really hard watching Eliza Dushku playing the good girl .. I think after seeing her as the bad girl Faith in Buffy (and even with attitude on Bring It On), it's hard seeing her play someone who hasn't got that attitude thing happening ... hmm, this week's episode had some lesbian twist to it .. I didn't really see that coming, I guess cos one of the girls who played the lesbian sooo didn't seem like your lesbian type (she seemed too blonde and girly) - as in, I couldn't see her playing a lesbian ever .. But then, the couple who were the lesbian looks a bit like Portia de Rossi and her gf so I guess anything is possible ...
I also watched Walker Texas Ranger, which I stayed to watch till the end .. but then was disappointed as it was a "to be continued" episode .. so I doubt I'll catch the end! These American guys would go into Mexico and promise the Mexicans to sneak them across the border, so they would work on some resort and earn lots of money .. except it was actually a slavery ring, and they'd be forced to work on some farm for v little pay and no freedom whatsoever ..
Then I watched Cheaters .. ah, I love that show :p They had a male guy cheat, and then a female cheat .. hmm, you have to feel sorry for their partners .. hmm, I think it's just interesting watching the reactions of the people doing the cheating once they've been caught - sometimes they become really apologetic, other times they deny anything ... hmm, it's such an Ameican show though :p
How Many Points is That?
I got the Weight Watchers Shopping Guide from a workmate the other day .. It tells you how many points various products have - and a lot is listed in that book! I used to get King William Chocolate smoothies from Boost Juice, but i haven't in a while and that's probably a good thing .. 10.5 points in a regular boost juice! man, that's a lot of points, when I think you're only meant to have like 20 a day if you're on a diet! (something like that) .. That smoothie is v filling, and i often wouldn't have room for much else afterwards, but still .. a lot of points!
My yoghurt has 3.5 points, and so do sesame snaps .. but, gelato from gelatissimo has 2.5 points (unless it's the sorbet ones, in which case it has 1.5) .. hehe their servings are tiny though, so that's probably why they aren't worth many points .. but still, I think i'd rather a scoop of gelato over a sesame snap (as yummy as they are) or my yoghurt, not only for taste, but points-wise too!
Okay, this rant is long enough now .. JY says he skimmed my blog recently and feels like he's known me for 50 years :p Ah, I'm sure if ppl do look at this post, they would have only skimmed it :p Too many words :p
Might have a nap now, then do some sewing :D Au revoir :o)
