Waiting for Won Ton

Well, that's what I'm doing atm .. I'm taking won-ton in to work tomoz, and I'm currently steaming it .. have never tried steaming it before, so not sure if it will turn out okay or not :p If it doesn't, I'll just chuck it in boiling water to soften/cook it :P

Was a good weekend, nice and relaxing .. Didn't do too much wedding stuff, which was good :p I finally got a sleep in (feels like yonkers since I last had a proper one), then went to Mindy's 21st lunch at Aesops .. was good, I knew most of the ppl there, and those that i met for the first time seemed nice :o) We even got to throw plates! They were actually plaster mouldings of plates, which would be cheaper for the restaurant .. They opened up just for us on a Sunday (they are normally closed) which was good .. we had 4 courses (I don't think we knew we were getting 4 courses at the start :p), which was a lot of food! We wasted quite a bit, but Mindy got to take it home .. good ol doggy bag! :o)

Lunch started late and finished late, and then when I got home, my parents had cooked a roast lamb .. oh man, food galore! I felt like I was eating all day long! So must hit the gym again this week - hopefully my back won't be playing up (and we won't be having heaps of farewells again :p)

I saw Mean Girls the other night .. it turned out to be a not-so-bad movie! I thought it'd be heaps teeny boppy, but it turned out it wasn't .. and from those who have also seen it (Alan, Mindy, Chuck), they also haven't found it that bad ... It has Lacey Chabert from Party of Five in it (Claudia) - she looks weird now she's grown up .. she reminds me of Jennifer Love Hewitt (she actually dressed up as her from Can't Hardly Wait in Not Another Teen Movie) .. sometimes she looks decent, but other times she looks too .. um ... hehe "Plastic" ;p She was too tanned in that movie :p

After the movie, Alan and I watched the Parent Trap - I like that movie! :D ... We watched it because it has Lindsay Lohan in it, who was the main star of Mean Girls .. Wow, she's grown up heaps! It's just amazing how much different she looks nowadays than when she was in the Parent Trap!

Ah uselss trivia .. sometimes better than a rant :p

Oh, and Jonathan Bennett (actor who played Aaron Samuels in Mean Girls) was nice eye candy :p

Highlights

• Finding out that bank holiday is coming up! Coincidentally, tis the weekend I was going away .. so now I can extend my weekend getaway! Yay!


• Mindy's party .. was fun, and relaxing, and yet v filling :p

• The weekend coming to an end .. work tomoz .. and I should really be in bed now :p

Nah, only kidding! :o) He was teaching me how to drive a manual today .. well, teaching me the theory - man, it seems so complicated! I received a ride home from John today, and Mindy was changing gears for him :p hehe it is quite scary, I don't think I can do it :p But learning the theory was helpful, hopefully I won't be fooled by Alan telling me to release the clutch as a way of stopping the car :p

Okay, this is a long post and my won ton is ready .. bed time now :o) Toodles :p
