Realisation ...

hmm I had a realisation last night .. My new sewing machine (which is freaking me out, as it has waaay too much functionality! :p) cost me just under $900 .. that's more than Alan's car! hmm .. but then I also realised that his car cost him 2 good-quality CB radios ... his car was pretty cheap!

Am in a chirpy mood this morning, despite feeling slightly tired ..

ah, tis the start of many birthdays this month (mainly from the spammers clan!)

ah I am strange .. We received the support roster for this month and I'm scheduled on it by myself some weeks, and sharing with my workmate other weeks (she works part-time, so I take over on the days she's not here) .. Yesterday, my other workmate sent around an email around saying she can share on those days with the workmate who works part-time, as she works part-time too (on the days my other workmate isn't here) .. which would mean she'd take over my job .. I actually like doing support - it keeps me busy and i learn a lot! So I sent around an email saying that I don't mind doing support with my part-time workmate, but don't want to stop my other workmate doing it if she wants to .. My manager sent around an email saying that he doesn't think my workmate really minds - it seems no one actually wants to do help desk .. it's just that they feel they have to share around the time equally! I, on the otherhand, don't mind it! The more times I'm rostered on, the better (well for the next 3 months!)

I have to clean out my work shelf - i have all my gym clothes and random stuff in it .. My manager saw it the other day and said that it looked like a St Vinnies collection bin! *whoops* :p

Okay, y'day's highlights and lowlights:
Highlights

• I beat Alan at ddr! wewt :p ah, i'm still pretty unco at it :p


• Socialising .. I met up with heaps of ppl .. Allan in the morning when we went and got my fish cake for brekkie (I met up with him again today on my way to work!), Matty (just a normal visit), ppl at JY's farewell lunch ...


• Working out Xerxes' program .. though i now have more to work on since he added on to the spec, but at least I worked out what I thought would be impossible to crack! :D

Lowlights

• From Hell - that is just the dumbest movie! I have no idea about the story of Jack the Ripper, and I don't think I really want to know ..


• Body pain .. my back was aching everytime I moved, and I was also just exhausted .. so it was making me more irritable than normal :o/


• My new sewing machine .. It's just sooo overwhelming, all the different parts and functionality! My old one, whilst still functional, was much easier to understand .. it only had about 3 functions to it, and that's all I've ever really needed .. I don't really need most of the functions on my new machine, but it might come in handy .. *one* day! :p --> I actually bought my old machine from my mum when I was younger .. she was actually willing to sell it to me for $40 (which was a lot of money back in those days), even though she knew it wasn't worth that much! bah! :p I never gave her the money for it though :p
