Steps

I went to Steps Restaurant at Hornsby with my parents tonight .. I told my dad i'd take him there for his b'day, but we ended up eating at Crystal Seafood Restaurant instead on his actual birthday date .. So, I took him and my mum tonight - my dad has always wanted to try it, as we drive past it a bit ..

When trying to find a menu online, I came across this review of it:

'This restaurant is interesting and very different. The menu is creative and contemporary. If you wish to try small samples of possum, crocodile, buffalo and other types of Australian cuisine then this is the place to go.' - Carol

I managed to get a copy of their menu, but I didn't notice any possum, crocodile or buffalo on it! Though, I think their owners might have changed, so it's possible that it was on the old menu? Ah, not sure, but I would like to try the possum/buffalo/crocodile sample one day :p

I ordered the salt + pepper squid - there's a picture on their webpage, and the serving was actually about as big as that .. which was good for an entree! I had that as my main, and got some vegies to share with my parents, and bread .. Whilst my mum ordered the lamb shank and dad ordered the kangaoor pie .. The kangaroo pie was rich with rosemary, a bit too strong but wasn't that bad .. whilst mum's lamb was quite nice, though i did like my squid the most :p The vegies were heaps nice too, though unhealthy as they were coated with butter and garlic ...

I realise, I cannot wear aqua-y/green clothes .. I have a shirt and a jersey that colour, and I'm always spilling food on it! I wore the jersey tonight, which the last time I wore, I spilt boost juice on .. Tonight, I accidentally dropped a piece of squid on me and it splattered some oil on my top :p Ah, yes I am unco, but that colour is seriously my unlucky colour! :p
