I Belong With the Boomers ...

Man, and that's not a compliment! I seriously, played really badly today ...

I only scored 2 I think? Most of my shots just bounced off the ring, seriously bad aim .. One of the ones that did fortunately go in was a bit lucky, the ball had whacked my finger so it was quite sore ... and that's when I decided to shoot whilst yelling "Damn ball", and it went in! hehe everyone said I should abuse the ball more, cos that was the secret to my success :p

I did some okay d's though, think they were surprised that I stole the ball as many times as I did .. but yeah, not brilliant defence -> Allan says I need to stick to my guy more ... which is true, I really know how to bug Hung when i'm shadowing him :p

Hung is getting heaps better :o) I was teamted up with Allan L and Johnson - Allan L did 3 really good layout things in a row (took the opposition by surprise) .. and Johnson was our star per usual :o) .. Allan O played well, and Joey was a real star for his team - he scored some really good shots, esp for someone who reckons he can't play - I think he was their best player on the day ..

We got hammered the first game, we lost the 2nd (even though we were leading 7-1 at one stage!! It was prolly my bad shots that lost us that game :o/), we won the 3rd and the 4th we won, but it was the best to 6 with 2 points difference (as opposed to 11 .. though I think we won it 8-6 in the end?) .. so it ended up being a 2 all draw :o) Next time ... :p

The court was good though - a bit sunny at the start, but when the sun moved, it was nice and shady .. I thought there'd be heaps of sticks on the ground but there weren't .. I was also worried that the court would be used, and whilst half was, the other half was free .. It's in a nice area too, and really close to work (much closer than the other ones we've been using) .. hehe and with all these fears, as we neared the courts, we started to have another fear - that there was no ring! Allan L insisted he couldn't see one from the oval, and I was wondering what we'd do if there was no ring - not bother playing, or trek all the way to Naremburn .. but alas, Allan has v bad vision (so it seems) as there was a ring and we were in luck :o)

hmm think i need to practice .. I did okay shooting the ball after the game when there was no pressure, but as soon as there's pressure, my ball just goes off :o/ *sigh*
