Flu Season

*sigh* my mum was sick last week with the flu, she's passed it on to my dad and I think she's passing it on this way to me :o( So I'm thinking, if frisbee is still on but it's raining (only if it's raining), i might have to give it a miss tonight .. which would be a major bummer, as i think it's the last game before finals, and we're playing the team coming 2nd .. I have to learn earlyish anyways, have to make it to my sista's wedding dress making appointment :o/

Anyhoos, spent Saturday morning at the gym .. ah Peter, such a doll :p I felt sorry for any new ppl in that class, because he seemed to be going at a much faster pace than normal when teaching the moves .. I guess for the students who go each week it's a bit repetitive and slow when you go thru each move really slowly, but for the new ppl, it's really complicated and hard! I know that one new person left, and another 3 who were roped into it by a student who goes regularly, were looking to kill that person :p

Then I had a dress making fitting for my bridesmaid's dress .. It looks better than last time, so that's a good thing .. except it's waay too big on my sista :p She's soo tiny! Carey's fiance drove me home, and he kinda missed a turn off (my sista is as bad as I am at giving ppl directions .. we just assume ppl know how to get to our house when we're in the car with them :p) which turned out to be a good thing .. cos we drove past a basketball ring (it's near Mindy's house), which looked really new and clean, and also unused! :o)

So later that arvo, I went to that court .. I got to try out Alan's sista's car (tis an auto Volvo) to see what it's like driving a volvo .. damn indicator being on the wrong side! :p Everytime I went to turn, I kept putting on the windscreen wipers instead :p hehehe my mum said that she always knew when dad was in her car (she used to own a volvo too) as the windscreen wipers were always out of place :p

Basketball was good .. When I arrived it was unused, but then another family arrived shortly afterwards ... Tis funny watching the children try to shoot, as it reminds me of when I was younger and my ball didn't go anywhere near the hoop ... I used to bend my knees and just chuck it upwards, hoping it would come close to the ring :p hehhee ... However, the father of that family wasn't much better than his kids :p Then another family came, and that first one left .. the dad of this family was soo much better! he'd shoot the ball funny but it ended up in over 50% of the time ... Eventually they left and I had the hoop to myself again, which was good :o) Bit windy but was fun just to practice (esp seeing as i'd missed out on basketball the day before) ...

Ended up walking home - about a 30-40 min walk depending on how slowly one walks (i was walking slowly :p) so I had a lot of exercise on Saturday :o)

Went to Le Colonial at Towers on Saturday night .. v westernised Vietnamese restaurant, but their food is yummy :o) I love their pancakes - tis an entree but big enough for a main :p hehe though i do feel a bit guilty eating it after seeing the oil/butter sitting on the plate after it's all eaten up :p

Sunday lunch was spent at Ruth's .. hehe ppl were surprised to see me, as I told Michelle, I am alive :p Was good catching up with ppl - Ruth, Michelle, Carl, Tib (whose hair is sooo long now! like a lion's mane :p), Xerxes (who I see the most anyways :p), Mamo, John, Baz (for like 2 secs though :p) and Ruth's uni friend Vanessa ... We talked about uni days (i feel sorry for those few peeps who didn't go to UTS :p Though Carl was trying to convince us that he did, even though he actually mean UWS :p) ... hmm i miss uni days (well the social side of things, not the assignments and exams :p) ... Unfortunately, I had to leave for squash, so I missed out on Ruth's homemade cheesecake :o/ Though, I did get to try her borders award winning white chocolate kit kat cookies :o) Oh man, I felt them go to my hips straight away :p

Oh, also got to hoon around c'brook in Xerxes' mum new Honda Jazz .. poor car! Man, Xerxes was driving like a real maniac, taking corners really quickly, just to prove how good the car is :p hehe being stuck in the back in the middle seat didn't help, I was really gripping onto the front head rests the whole time :p And then when Xerxes offered to pick Ryan up from the station, all the boyz wanted to go along :p Poor, poor car! :p

Played squash with Alan, Leon, Leon's younger brother, Marty and Louise .. per usual, I lost every game but i hope that i'm sorta improving .. well probably not but oh well :p

This morning, I thought i'd missed the train via hornsby (which is the quickest route to work) so i went straight to the city platform .. as I walked onto it, I saw the hornsby train come (there weren't many ppl on the platform, that's why I thought it had already come) .. It turned out to be okay, because if I hadn't caught the city train, I wouldn't have bumped into Liz on the train :o) Haven't seen her since uni days, she's been travelling around Europe I do believe? She got back last week, and today is her first day at work ... After spending so much time away (it was over 6 months), going to work today would have been painful :p

And now i'm at the present .. ugh, i bought a fish cake today (haven't bought one in ages) and it was burnt :o/ hmm reluctant to buy another anytime soon :p
